Ethereum is the original smart-contract blockchain and the largest by ecosystem and total value locked. It powers most of DeFi, NFTs, and dApps, and its EVM is the standard other chains aim to be compatible with.

ERC-20 is Ethereum's fungible-token standard. It sets the rules for transfers, balances, and approvals, and almost every Ethereum token on GemsBit follows it.

Buy ETH on any major exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken) or swap for it on a DEX like Uniswap. You'll need ETH in your wallet to pay gas for any Ethereum transaction.

Gas fees rise when the network is busy, since users bid for limited block space. Fees are paid in ETH and vary with demand — Layer-2 networks like Arbitrum and Base exist largely to make transactions cheaper.

Write or template an ERC-20 contract, deploy it to Ethereum with ETH for gas, and verify it on Etherscan. After it's live you can submit it to GemsBit for listing.
